Editorial policy
How we find government vacancies, write them up, link them back to the original, and correct them. If you are deciding whether to trust a listing here, this is how it was made.

Who is responsible
Pakistan Government Jobs is run by Faaiz Mahmood, an individual based in Lahore, Pakistan - see who runs this site. Faaiz Mahmood decides what is published and is responsible for correcting it. We are not a government body and have no official standing; the department that advertised a post is always the authority on it.
Where vacancies come from
We list a vacancy only from an official source:
- the advertising department's or commission's own website;
- an official notification, circular or corrigendum;
- a testing service's announcement (NTS, PTS, OTS, ETEA and others);
- an advertisement printed in a national or regional newspaper.
We do not publish vacancies from social media posts, WhatsApp forwards, anonymous tips, or other job websites. A page that only re-posts someone else's advertisement is not a source; we go to the one it copied.
How a listing is made
Each advertisement is written up field by field: the post, the department and the body conducting the recruitment, the number of posts and where they are, the pay scale, the qualification and field of study, the age range and any relaxation, the experience, gender and domicile requirements, and the last date. The job page is built from those fields, so it says what the advertisement says and nothing more.
Where the advertisement does not state something, the listing leaves it out or says it is not stated - we do not guess an age limit or a qualification to fill a gap.
One vacancy, one page. A post advertised for several cities is one listing that names all of them, not a separate page per city. When we find the same vacancy listed twice, the copies are merged and the old addresses redirect to the one that remains.
A link back to the original
Every job page has an Official source section. It shows what we hold of the original - the advertisement number, the newspaper it was printed in, a scan or PDF of the advertisement, the page it was published on, and the official application link. When we have no advertisement file for a vacancy, the page says so plainly rather than implying one exists. Either way, confirm every detail on the official source before you apply or pay a fee.
After the last date
A closed vacancy stays on the site, clearly marked Applications closed, because candidates come back to it for the test date and the result. We do not remove it, and we do not present it as open.
When the conducting body announces a written test, an interview or a result, we add it to the job page with a link to the announcement it came from. If a last date is extended, the listing shows the old and the new date.
Corrections
Every job page has a Report an error in this listing link that opens an email with the listing already named. You can also write to contact@pakistangovernmentjobs.com or use the contact page. Corrections and removal requests are dealt with before anything else.
When a listing is wrong we correct the listing itself. Where our listing and the official advertisement disagree, the advertisement is right.
Guides
Our guides for applicants follow a stricter rule. Every factual claim is checked against an official source and cited on the page; a rule that belongs to one commission is attributed to that commission rather than stated as universal; fees and amounts that change are dated. Each guide shows the date it was last checked against its sources.
Advertising and independence
Nobody can pay to have a vacancy listed, ranked higher, or described differently. The site is free to use and never asks candidates for money.
The site carries advertising served by Google. Advertisements are chosen by Google, are separate from the listings, and have no influence on what we publish. If you see an advertisement offering paid “guaranteed” government jobs, please report it so we can block it.
The AI assistant
Job pages offer an Ask AI button that answers questions about that vacancy. It is an automated tool and labelled as one; its answers are not part of the listing and can be wrong. The advertisement, and the department that published it, are the authority.
