• You can search and read every job listing on this website without an account and without giving us any personal information.
• If you choose to register, we collect only your first name, last name and email address, plus a securely hashed password.
• When you register we also note how you found the site - a search, a shared link, or typing the address - so we know which sources are worth our effort. Recorded once, never sold.
• We use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. Both set cookies and both can be blocked - see analytics and advertising.
• We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in. We also use Google Analytics to count visits, and this site is funded by advertising served by Google, which sets its own cookies. Both are explained below, with links to turn them off.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not send it to recruiters or government departments.
• You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time by emailing contact.pakistangovernmentjobs@gmail.com.

Pakistan Government Jobs is an independent, privately operated website. It is not a government body - see our disclaimer. The operators of this website are the data controller for the personal data described here, and can be reached at contact.pakistangovernmentjobs@gmail.com.

No account is needed to browse. Searching, filtering and reading listings needs no registration and no personal details from you. Analytics and advertising cookies described further down still apply to anonymous visits.

Account information, if you register. When you create an account we collect your first name, last name and email address, and we store your password only as a cryptographic hash - we cannot read it and neither can anyone who obtains our database. We record whether your email address has been verified, and the dates your account was created and last updated.

Things you save while signed in. Jobs you bookmark, searches or filters you choose to save, and any notification preferences you set. These exist so the feature works when you come back.

How you found us, recorded once if you register. When you create an account we store how you first reached this website and which button you used to sign up - for example "a Google search", "a Facebook link" or "typed the address directly", the page you first landed on, and any campaign tag in the link you followed. We keep the website you came from as a bare domain name, never the full address of the page. It is recorded once, at signup, and never updated afterwards. We use it only to understand which sources bring people to the site so we know where to put our effort. It is never sold, never shared, and never used to target advertising.

Messages you send us. If you email us a correction, question or complaint, we keep the message and your email address so we can reply and track the issue.

Technical information created automatically. Like effectively every website, our servers and hosting provider record standard request logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system type, and referring page. We use these for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults.

Usage and advertising data collected by Google. Our analytics and advertising providers collect their own information about your visit - pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and identifiers stored in cookies. See advertising and analytics below.

We do not ask for or want your CNIC number, date of birth, bank details, salary history, scanned documents, or any government-issued identifier. Never send those to us - no genuine recruitment process requires them to be sent to a third-party website.

• To provide your account - creating and authenticating it, keeping you signed in, and storing your saved jobs and preferences. Basis: performance of our agreement with you.
• To verify your email address- so account recovery works and so accounts cannot be created with other people's addresses. Basis: performance of our agreement, and our legitimate interest in account security.
• To send service messages - verification, password reset, and important changes to the service. Basis: performance of our agreement.
• To send job alerts, if and when you enable them. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To keep the website secure and working - detecting abuse, blocking attacks, fixing errors, and understanding aggregate traffic patterns. Basis: our legitimate interest in a safe, working service.
• To measure how the website is used - which pages are read, which searches find nothing, where visitors arrive from - so we can fix what is not working. Basis: your consent where consent is required for the cookies involved, and otherwise our legitimate interest in improving the service.
• To show advertising, which is what pays for the site being free. Basis: your consent where personalised advertising requires it, and otherwise our legitimate interest in funding the service.
• To answer your messages and act on corrections and removal requests. Basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you.

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making, and we do not build an advertising profile of you ourselves. Our advertising partner may do so through its own cookies - see advertising, which explains how to switch that off.

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store. This site uses three kinds, and only the first is set by us.

• Strictly necessary cookies (ours). When you sign in, we set secure, HTTP-only session and refresh cookies so that you stay signed in as you move between pages and so your session can be renewed without asking you to log in repeatedly. These cookies cannot be read by JavaScript in your browser and are not used to track you across other websites. Blocking them prevents signing in; searching and reading jobs still works.
• Analytics cookies (Google). Set by Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. See analytics.
• Advertising cookies (Google and its partners). Set when advertisements are served, to control how often you see an ad and, where permitted, to make ads more relevant. See advertising.

Your browser may also store small amounts of data locally to remember interface preferences. That data stays on your device.

The web fonts this site uses are served from our own domain rather than fetched from a third party, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to a font provider.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, and every major browser offers a private-browsing mode that discards them when you close it. The two sections below also give provider-level opt-outs, which apply wherever you browse rather than only on this site.

This website is free to use and carries no paywall. It is paid for by advertising, which we serve through Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service operated by Google.

What that means in practice, in Google's own required terms:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve advertisements to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Opting out does not remove advertising - it makes the advertisements you see less relevant to you.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at aboutads.info/choices and the Network Advertising Initiative.

How Google handles the data it collects when you use a site in its advertising network is described in Google's own policy for partner sites. We do not receive your name, email address or any other identifying detail from Google, and we do not pass your account details to it.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before advertising or analytics cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the consent link shown to you. Where you refuse, only non-personalised advertising is served.

What advertising does not change. We do not sell placement in our job listings, we do not accept payment to rank or promote a vacancy, and no advertiser has any influence over which jobs we list or how we describe them. Advertisements are labelled and are separate from the listings. We do not knowingly accept advertising for services that charge candidates for government jobs - if you see an advertisement like that on this site, please report it to contact.pakistangovernmentjobs@gmail.com so we can block it.

We use the Meta Pixel, a piece of code provided by Meta Platforms - the company behind Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. It loads on every page of this website.

It tells Meta that a browser visited a page here, along with the address of that page, your IP address, and identifiers stored in Meta's own cookies. If you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram in the same browser, Meta can connect that visit to your account there. We do not send Meta your name, your email address, or anything from your profile or saved jobs.

We use it for one purpose: to measure whether our advertising on Facebook and Instagram actually brings people to the vacancies, and to reach people who have visited before. It is not used to decide what you see on this website, and we do not sell what it collects.

You can stop it in any of these ways:

• block trackers in your browser settings or with a content blocker - most block this pixel by default;
• turn off Activity off Meta technologies in your Facebook or Instagram account settings, which stops Meta connecting these visits to your account;
• decline advertising cookies in the consent prompt, where one is shown to you.

What Meta does with this information is governed by their own privacy policy, not by ours.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used in aggregate: how many people visit, which pages and searches they use, which devices they are on, and roughly which country or city they are in. This is what tells us that, for example, a filter is returning nothing or a page is broken on mobile.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes an abbreviated form of your IP address on Google's infrastructure. We do not upload your name, email address or account identifier to it, so the reports we see are about pages and sessions, not about you personally.

You can stop it in any of these ways:

• install Google's browser opt-out add-on, which applies to every website;
• block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with a content blocker;
• decline analytics cookies in the consent prompt, where one is shown to you.

How Google uses data from sites that use its services is described in its partner-sites policy.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we never share it with recruiters, agents or government departments. Applying for a job happens on the official department's own website, not here, so we have nothing to pass on.

Data reaches other parties only in these ways:

• Service providers who run our infrastructure - hosting, database, and email delivery for verification and password reset messages. They process data on our instructions only and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
• Google, as our analytics and advertising provider. Google collects its own data directly from your browser when a page loads, as described in the two sections above. It acts as an independent controller of that data, not on our instructions, and we do not send it your account details.
• Legal authorities, where we are required by applicable law, a valid court order, or lawful request to disclose information, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.

Some of these providers process data on servers outside Pakistan, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the data continues to be protected to the standard described in this policy.

• Account data - for as long as your account exists. Delete your account and we remove or irreversibly anonymise it, other than anything we must keep for legal or security reasons.
• Saved jobs and preferences - until you remove them or delete your account.
• Correspondence - normally up to 24 months, so we can keep track of corrections and repeated issues.
• Server and security logs - normally a short rolling window, kept only as long as needed for security and diagnostics.
• Analytics and advertising data - held by Google under its own retention periods, which we do not control. The opt-outs above are how you stop it being collected in the first place.

The website is served over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Session cookies are marked secure and HTTP-only. Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it to operate the service.

No website can promise perfect security, so please help: use a unique password here, do not reuse a password from your email or bank, and tell us at contact.pakistangovernmentjobs@gmail.com if you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else. We will notify affected users and, where required, the relevant authority if a breach puts personal data at risk.

You can ask us at any time to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy of it.
• Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete - you can also edit your name and email in your account.
• Delete your account and associated personal data.
• Withdraw consent to job alerts or other optional messages, and unsubscribe from them.
• Object to or restrict processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests.

For advertising and analytics you do not need to write to us at all - the opt-out links under advertising and analytics take effect immediately and apply across websites, not just this one.

Email contact.pakistangovernmentjobs@gmail.com from the address registered to your account, or use the contact page. We aim to respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, to make sure we are not disclosing your data to someone else.

This website is intended for adults seeking employment. Accounts are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has registered, tell us and we will delete the account.

We update this policy when the website or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice on the website or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the website after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
