About this vacancy

Overview: The Associate IT Operations & Infrastructure is responsible for supporting and overseeing the day‑to‑day operations at core and assist in the optimization of servers, networks, storage, cloud environments, and security systems under guidance of the tech team. The position plays a critical role in supporting the daily stable connectivity, secure data flows, and robust IT services through proactive monitoring, timely issue resolution, and adherence to governance and cybersecurity standards. Key Responsibilities: Technical Support: • Support to record IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. • Respond to user queries and resolve hardware/software issues. • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Network Administration: • Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity. • Assist in configuring routers, switches, and firewalls. • Support VPN and remote access solutions. System Maintenance: • Perform regular updates, patches, and backups. • Ensure antivirus and endpoint security systems are up to date. • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and licenses. Documentation & Reporting: • Record troubleshooting steps and solutions. • Maintain IT logs and asset registers. • Prepare reports on system performance and incidents. • Support to enable IT policies and compliance standards . Collaboration & Training: • Assist senior IT staff in projects such as migrations or upgrades. • Provide basic IT training to employees. • Support implementation of IT policies and compliance standards. • Ensure support in establishing and maintaining IT and digital communication infrastructure, including wireless or LAN networks. • Working & coordinating with third-party service providers to keep the networks running efficiently. Procurement related tasks: • Assist in making of Technical RFPs related to IT Networks/Systems/Equipment’s according to PPRA Rules. Assist in Technical Evaluation of RFPs according to PPRA Rules. Essential Skills & Competencies: • Expertise in MS Visio, MS Office Tools. • Good knowledge of Firewalls, Switches, Routers, their configuration and management. • Good knowledge of server’s management. • Ability to handle heavy workload effectively and efficiently with excellent teamwork. • Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills. • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy. • Education Requirements: Minimum bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (16 years) from a national or foreign university recognized by HEC.   • Bachelor - MS, in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, recognised by HEC
