Associate SOC Engineer

The SOC Engineer shall support the day-to-day security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response activities of PDA's Security Operations Center (SOC), including monitoring security events, initial triage, escalation of incidents, maintaining monitoring coverage, and supporting investigation and reporting. Job ID: PDA-J163.

• Monitor security alerts through SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls and FIM and perform initial triage
• Conduct basic investigations using logs and escalate incidents per SOC procedures
• Support containment, evidence collection and post-incident analysis under supervision
• Perform routine checks of SOC dashboards, correlation rules, agents and log sources
• Support threat-intelligence monitoring and IOC searches
• Assist with vulnerability assessments
• Follow SOC playbooks and SOPs and maintain auditable incident records
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly SOC monitoring reports

• Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, Bachelor's in Information Security, Bachelor's in Computer Science, Bachelor's in Information Technology, Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, recognised by HEC
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related discipline from HEC-recognized institution
• Security+, CEH, SC-200, Splunk/SIEM, Fortinet or Microsoft Security certifications preferred
• 2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates with relevant skills may be considered)
• Exposure to FortiSIEM, LogRhythm, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, EDR/XDR, Nessus, Active Directory and Windows/Linux preferred
• Ability to work in a shift/SOC environment where required

• Required experience: At least 2 years
• 2 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, IT security, network security or related field; fresh graduates with relevant cybersecurity knowledge, internships, labs, projects or certifications may also be considered
