About this vacancy
NADRA requires a Chief Technology Officer on a contractual basis at Islamabad HQ to lead NADRA's technology function, providing strategic direction on digital transformation, IT governance, technology infrastructure and systems development. Selected candidate will undergo a 3 months probation period, extendable subject to performance.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead NADRA technology function and digital transformation
- Provide strategic direction on IT governance, technology infrastructure and systems development
- Drive technical development initiatives and innovation
- Oversee software application development
- Ensure robust cybersecurity measures across technology initiatives
- Formulate and execute technology strategy delivering business value
- Ensure reliable and efficient IT operations
- Provide strategic technology recommendations to Management and the Authority
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's - 16 Years Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology/Information Security, Master (preferred), recognised by HEC
- 16 years education in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology/Information Security or related field from an HEC recognized university
- Master's degree preferred
- Degrees must be attested by HEC
- Strong knowledge of secure software development methodologies and software engineering principles
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- NOC required at interview for Government/Semi-Government employees
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 15 years
- Minimum 15 years progressive experience in technology leadership roles, including leading IT functions in large public-sector, corporate or technology-driven organizations
Age limit
- All candidates: 18 – 55 years
- Age is counted on the closing date, 25 Oct 2026.
- The upper limit already includes the general age relaxation of 5 years; it is not added again.
