About this vacancy
Provide overall leadership, oversight and strategic direction for Security Operations Center (SOC) functions at NTISB. Five years' general age relaxation has already been added to the upper age limit; no other age relaxation is admissible.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership, oversight and strategic direction for SOC functions
- Ensure continuous and effective monitoring, detection, analysis and response to cybersecurity incidents on a 24/7 basis
- Oversee implementation and enforcement of approved cybersecurity policies, SOPs, playbooks and operational guidelines
- Supervise performance of SOC teams including analysts, shift leads and technical staff
- Review and validate incident classifications, escalations and response actions particularly for high-impact or critical incidents
- Coordinate with national and sectoral stakeholders, law enforcement agencies and relevant authorities during major cyber incidents
- Monitor SOC performance metrics, service levels and capacity and recommend improvements
- Identify operational risks, capability gaps and emerging threats and propose mitigation measures
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting and dissemination of incident reports, advisories and alerts
- Prepare periodic performance, incident and situational reports for senior management
Eligibility criteria
- Master's or PhD - MS Computer Science (MSCS), MS Information Technology (MSIT), PhD in Computer Engineering, PhD in Information Technology, PhD in Computer Science, PhD in Telecommunication Engineering, PhD in Cryptography and related degrees as listed in the advertisement, in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, recognised by HEC
- Minimum 18 years of education, preferably MS/PhD in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security or related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution
- International certification in incident handling, SOC operations and offensive security strongly desired
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 10 years
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience including 6 years in information security and cybersecurity and 4 years of recent experience in SOC operations
Age limit
- All candidates: 18 – 50 years
- Age is counted on the closing date, 12 Oct 2026.
- The upper limit already includes the general age relaxation of 5 years; it is not added again.
