Duties and responsibilities
- Provide capacity building to PIU, TEVTA, PVTC and PSDA staff on the curriculum development process
- Provide technical assistance and strategic guidance on technical content and curriculum development
- Support the whole curriculum development process based on the approved annual work plan
- Advise on design and coordination of the curriculum development work plan and resources
- Ensure the structure for curriculum design and development committees is defined and operationalized
- Support drafting of a curriculum development work plan including consultation and approval processes
- Advise on planning of curriculum development phases including activities, timeline, budget and outputs
- Support consultations of the detailed work plan with the IWRPP Steering Committee
- Advise on relevant and detailed Standard Operating Procedures
- Assess the formal and non-formal labour market and socioeconomic framework conditions related to education
- Evaluate current TVET systems for relevance, effectiveness and efficiency
- Assess current training facilities and equipment at TVET institutes and recommend operationalization of Centres of Excellence
- Review curricula, teaching methods and learning materials related to TVET
- Assess training needs for vocational and technical teachers and trainers
- Review possibilities of introducing mobile, flexible and short training programs
- Recommend strategies for lifelong learning for youth and adults
- Collect sample tracer studies of TVET and Centre of Excellence graduates
- Support peer review and assessment of curriculum design under the National Vocational Qualifications Framework
- Provide input to develop holistic and comprehensive TVET curricula
- Ensure curriculum development aligns with SDG 4 including Global Citizenship Education, Human Rights and Peace Education
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelors (16 Years)|Masters - Bachelors in Education, Bachelors in Public Policy, Masters in Education, Masters in Public Policy, in Education, Public Policy, recognised by HEC
- Minimum Bachelors degree (16 years of education) in Education, Public Policy or a suitable discipline, Masters preferred
- At least ten years of experience after acquiring the stipulated qualification
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and technical content development, preferably public sector
- Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office
- Experience with foreign funded projects and international organizations preferred
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 10 years
- At least ten years of experience after acquiring the stipulated qualification with demonstrated experience in curriculum development, specifically technical content development, preferably in the public sector
- Experience accepted from: Foreign Funded Projects, International Organizations, Government Institutions, Asian Development Bank Projects
