About this vacancy
Head of the Federal Computer Emergency Response Team (FCERT) at NTISB, responsible for FCERT planning, governance and delivery of national cyber security initiatives. Five years' general age relaxation has already been added to the upper age limit; no other age relaxation is admissible.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead FCERT planning and governance
- Translate strategic objectives into implementation plans
- Oversee cyber security initiatives
- Coordinate across divisions
- Monitor project progress
- Support senior management reporting
- Facilitate stakeholder coordination
- Ensure policy compliance
- Promote accountability and continuous improvement
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's or PhD - Minimum 16 years education with major in Computer Science, Telecom Engineering or related engineering discipline, BS Computer Science, MS Cybersecurity, PhD Information Security and related degrees as listed in the advertisement, in Computer Science, Telecom Engineering, Cyber Security, Engineering, recognised by HEC
- Expertise in information security policy formulation
- Understanding of Federal Government ministry operations
- CISM or CISSP strongly desired
- PMP and PRINCE2 preferable
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 15 years
- Minimum of 15 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in Information/Cyber Security and at least 3 years in PSDP projects for information/cyber security at Federal or Provincial Government level
Age limit
- All candidates: 37 – 55 years
- Age is counted on the closing date, 12 Oct 2026.
- The upper limit already includes the general age relaxation of 5 years; it is not added again.
