GIS Specialist for the Project Implementation and Management Unit of the Punjab Rural Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Project (World Bank funded).
Duties and responsibilities
- Review available GIS resources, identify gaps and help procure additional hardware and software for maintaining a GIS database
- Provide technical input and implementation support in developing a GIS database of existing water, sanitation and solid waste management systems and other municipal services in target tehsils
- Identify and help procure appropriate hardware and software for maintaining the GIS-based MIS
- Develop the GIS mapping system for the project based on asset data surveys in target tehsils
- Develop a GIS-based MIS of municipal services facilities and assets to be rolled out across PRSWSSP tehsils
- Develop dashboards so the GIS database supports quick analysis of trends and comparisons against defined performance standards
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - Masters degree in GIS or Space Sciences, in Geographical Information System (GIS), Space Sciences, recognised by HEC
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 8 years
- In general 8 years of relevant work experience in matters related to GIS mapping, MIS and database administration, including 4 years of experience working on similar projects or assignments
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Donor-Funded Projects
