Master Artisan / Ustad

Master Artisan / Ustad leading the artisan teams of the Tourism & Heritage Development Force. Position in the Tourism & Heritage Development Force established by the Tourism, Archaeology & Museums Department for the revival of built heritage in the Punjab. Appointment is project based. NOTE: the portal publishes no age range for this post and gives the monthly salary as a ceiling only.

• Lead the team of master and assistant artisans in restoration projects, ensuring traditional techniques are accurately applied
• Supervise and mentor senior and junior artisans
• Supervise all craft-related activities during exhibitions and workshops, ensuring high-quality preservation of skills
• Advise the technical and administrative teams on craft-specific requirements, material selection and traditional methods
• Monitor the quality, durability and authenticity of craftwork on heritage sites

• Literate (0 years), recognised by HEC
• Literate, with demonstrated mastery in three or more traditional crafts: fresco, stucco, Ghalib Kari, kashi kari, tile mosaic, wood carving, lime plaster
• Minimum 15-20 years or above of field experience on heritage monuments

• Required experience: At least 15 years
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
• Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Private Sector Organizations
