Security Operations Engineer

The Security Operations Engineer shall be responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, administration, and optimization of PDA's security operations infrastructure, including investigating security events, tuning security controls, supporting incident response and threat hunting, and improving SOC capabilities. Job ID: PDA-J164.

• Monitor and investigate alerts through SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS and FIM and perform incident triage and response
• Maintain and optimize SIEM rules, dashboards, correlation rules and log sources
• Administer and troubleshoot security monitoring tools and coordinate with vendors
• Analyze logs, conduct IOC searches and basic threat hunting
• Configure and administer firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS and access controls and support switch/router configuration
• Support vulnerability management and remediation tracking
• Maintain SOC playbooks, SOPs and incident-response procedures and support audits
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly security operations reports with KPIs/KRIs

• Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, Bachelor's in Information Security, Bachelor's in Computer Science, Bachelor's in Information Technology, Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, recognised by HEC
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related discipline from HEC-recognized institution
• Security+, CEH, SC-200, CCNP, Fortinet or SIEM/vendor-specific certifications preferred
• Practical experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching and network segmentation
• Experience with FortiGate/Cisco firewalls and exposure to FortiSIEM, LogRhythm, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel or Defender preferred
• Ability to work in a 24x7/shift SOC environment where required

• Required experience: At least 4 years
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations, security operations, network security, incident response, cybersecurity or information security, with hands-on experience in SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Active Directory, vulnerability management and log analysis
