• Design, develop and maintain ASP.NET Core Web APIs and backend services across PERA platforms
• Implement business logic layers following OOP principles, SOLID design and established design patterns
• Develop and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views and complex queries via ADO.NET
• Architect secure RESTful APIs with proper authentication (JWT/OAuth), authorization and rate limiting
• Manage database schema design, normalization, indexing strategy and performance tuning
• Integrate Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent AI tools into the daily backend development workflow
• Use AI tools for generating boilerplate code, writing unit tests, optimizing SQL queries and producing documentation
• Enable each team member to work independently using AI tools
• Build and maintain middleware components, background services and scheduled jobs
• Integrate third-party services, government system APIs and internal platform interconnections
• Ensure data consistency across distributed systems and microservice boundaries
• Oversee Dockerization of backend services and containerized deployments
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipeline configurations for automated build, test and deployment
• Implement logging, monitoring and alerting for production backend systems
• Maintain Git repository hygiene including branching strategy, merge policies and versioning
• Lead the backend team in sprint delivery, conduct code reviews and enforce quality standards
• Mentor backend developers through pair programming and knowledge transfer
• Produce and maintain backend architecture documentation, API specifications and database ERDs
• Collaborate with full-stack and frontend leads to define API contracts and integration protocols

• Bachelors (16 Years) - BS Computer Science, BS Software Engineering, BS Information Technology, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, recognised by HEC
• Bachelors degree (Hons) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent from a recognized university
• Minimum 8 years backend development experience with .NET and SQL Server including 4 years in a lead or senior role
• ASP.NET Core (.NET 6/7/8) Web API, dependency injection, middleware pipeline and background services
• Microsoft SQL Server with advanced stored procedures, ADO.NET (mandatory), Dapper and performance tuning
• SOLID principles and design patterns including Repository, Unit of Work, Factory, CQRS and Decorator
• Advanced Git branching (Git Flow), tagging and release management
• Mandatory daily use of AI tools such as Claude or Copilot
• Docker containerization of .NET services and multi-stage builds
• JWT authentication, role-based access control, SQL injection prevention and secure API design
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps pipelines or GitHub Actions a strong plus

• Required experience: At least 8 years
• Minimum 8 years of backend development experience with .NET and SQL Server including at least 4 years in a backend lead or senior backend developer role; strong portfolio of production-grade .NET APIs and SQL Server database systems; experience with government or enterprise systems strongly preferred
