Duties and responsibilities

  • Oversee the output of consultants on design of hydraulic structures and canals and coordinate for solution of construction issues in the field
  • Assist the Deputy Director (Hydraulics/Structures) in review of reports submitted by consultants
  • Assist Deputy Directors in preparation of technical reports and presentations
  • Ensure the Quality Control Manual is strictly followed by the project team and report deficiencies to the Director Technical
  • Evaluate the contractor proposal for establishment of field laboratories and approve other laboratories for testing
  • Ensure routine detailed and quantitative progress reporting is adequate to support contractor requests for progress
  • Establish and oversee appropriate standards and quality control procedures

Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelors (16 Years)|MS/MPhil (18 Years) - BSc Civil Engineering, Masters in Civil Engineering, Masters in Hydraulics Engineering, Masters in Water Resources Engineering and Management, in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Hydraulics Engineering, recognised by HEC, PEC
  • BSc Civil Engineering with 05 years professional experience, or Masters in Civil Engineering, Hydraulics Engineering or Water Resources Engineering and Management with BSc Civil Engineering from an HEC recognized university and 03 years related experience
  • Registered with PEC
  • Experience of working on construction of hydraulic structures
  • Knowledge of latest engineering codes of practice
  • Computer literate with experience of computing techniques
  • Punjab domicile

Experience required

  • Required experience: At least 3 years
  • 05 years professional experience with BSc Civil Engineering or 03 years related experience with Masters in Civil/Hydraulics/Water Resources Engineering; experience of working on construction of hydraulic structures
  • Experience accepted from: Government Departments, Public Sector Organizations, Water Sector Projects
