Duties and responsibilities
- Update safeguard documents including addenda to social safeguard documents
- Provide training to staff and consultants involved in preparation and implementation of Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plans
- Provide guidance and hands-on capacity development on land acquisition and resettlement to the PIU and implementing agencies and provide on-the-job training
- Facilitate establishment and functioning of a context-specific grievance redress mechanism at project and field level and prepare an outreach program for displaced persons
- Document progress on the grievance redress mechanism in periodic reports including complaints resolved or outstanding
- Prepare internal monitoring reports periodically and share with stakeholders including disclosure of LARPs on the executing agency website
- Facilitate the External Monitoring Consultant in preparing the External Monitoring Report and Corrective Action Plans in case of non-compliance
- Perform any other task assigned by the Project Director, PIU or ADB
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelors (16 Years)|Masters - Masters in Social Sciences, in Social Sciences, recognised by HEC
- Preferably Masters degree in Social Sciences or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
- Preferably 8 years relevant experience in resettlement planning and implementation, preferably in multilateral finance institution funded projects
- Well conversant with preparation and implementation of Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plans
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Working experience in the Punjab region preferred
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 8 years
- Preferably 8 years of relevant experience in resettlement planning and implementation, preferably in projects financed by multilateral finance institutions; well conversant with preparation and implementation of Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plans
- Experience accepted from: Foreign Funded Projects, International Organizations, Government Institutions, Asian Development Bank Projects
