Eligibility criteria

  • Master - MBBS, FCPS, MD, CCT, Diplomate American Board, in Medicine, recognised by PMDC or PMC
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC or PMC
  • Registered with PMDC or PMC
  • FCPS or MD or CCT or Diplomate American Board in Neonatology or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC or PMC
  • Five years teaching experience as Assistant Professor Neonatology (BS-18) from an institute recognized by PMDC or PMC
  • Three research publications in Neonatology as Assistant Professor in a standard medical journal recognized by PMDC or PMC or the Higher Education Commission
  • Hard copy of the online application form with two photocopy sets of all relevant documents and research papers must be submitted within 07 working days after the closing date

Experience required

  • Required experience: At least 5 years
  • Five years teaching experience as Assistant Professor Neonatology (BS-18) from an institute recognized by PMDC or PMC is required, along with three research publications in Neonatology as Assistant Professor published in a standard medical journal recognized by PMDC or PMC or the Higher Education Commission. Only relevant original articles published in book form on or before the closing date are considered; review articles, case studies or reports, translations, briefs, conference papers and editorials are not admissible, while online published research work in a recognized foreign journal is accepted. Journals must be indexed by PMC, PMDC, PubMed, Index Medicus, Excerpta Medica or Embase. Experience is required only where the candidate applies under an alternate qualification route. Only practical experience in a recognized institution issued by the appointing authority or PMDC or PMC after the prescribed qualification, clearly mentioning designation, pay scale, field, nature of experience and duration, shall be considered, and only if supported with appointment letters, notification or office order. Experience gained in the Government sector on contract, current charge, acting charge or ad-hoc basis is accepted only if issued by the appointing or competent authority or PMDC or PMC. Experience on OPS or designated basis (up to 17.06.2021 only), BOM, TTS or University Cadre is considered only if recognized and issued by PMDC or PMC. Experience from a foreign, autonomous or private institution is accepted only if recognized and issued by PMDC or PMC.

Age limit

  • Male: 30 – 50 years (+5 years relaxation)
  • Female: 30 – 50 years (+8 years relaxation)
  • Transgender: 30 – 50 years (+5 years relaxation)
