Chairman, OGRA

Chairman of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) under the Cabinet Division, on SPPS-I pay scale plus fringe benefits. Initial term of four years with eligibility for reappointment for a similar term or until age 65, whichever comes first. Government servants may apply through proper channel and must resign or retire before joining if selected. Candidates with direct or indirect financial interests or conflicts of interest in regulated oil and gas sector activities cannot be appointed.

• Achieve the goals and targets set by the OGRA Board
• Manage OGRA's operations in a goal-oriented and transparent manner following its policies, procedures and statutes
• Set and implement short- and long-term strategies, policies and programmes to regulate the mid-stream and downstream oil and gas sector
• Maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Master's degree (16 years education) in Law, Business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Petroleum Technology, Public Administration, Management, MBA, LLM, MSc Petroleum Technology, ACCA, CA, CPA and related qualifications as listed in the advertisement, in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, Accounting & Finance, Economics, recognised by HEC
• At least a Master's degree (16 years of education) from an HEC-recognized institution in law, business, engineering, finance, accounting, economics, petroleum, technology, public administration, management or sector regulation
• Demonstrated record of senior-level policy and strategy work desirable
• Foreign degree an advantage
• Leadership, team-building, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Must be a Pakistani citizen

• Required experience: At least 20 years
• Minimum 20 years of experience in large public and/or private sector organizations including at least 3 years as head of an organization
• Experience accepted from: Large Public Sector Organizations, Large Private Sector Organizations

• All candidates: 18 – 61 years
