Data Protection Officer

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) requires a Data Protection Officer for its Data Management Office in Karachi (on-site, full time, Ref: DMO 040) to ensure organizational compliance with data protection laws, lead data privacy policy and strategy, and oversee privacy assessments, audits and training. • Guarantee organizational adherence to relevant data protection laws and regulations
• Monitor changes in privacy laws and update policies and procedures accordingly
• Prepare and regularly review Data Privacy policies and procedures
• Assist in developing and implementing the Data Privacy strategy within the Information Security strategy
• Conduct privacy impact assessments for new projects, processes or technologies involving personal data
• Identify, document and classify personal data and implement appropriate protection measures
• Manage and respond to data subject access requests and privacy inquiries
• Provide data protection training and foster privacy awareness
• Collaborate with other departments for a holistic approach to data protection
• Support reporting authorities in implementing control measures identified through audits and risk assessments
• Ensure data management policies align with security and compliance requirements
• Oversee development and enforcement of information/data classification policies in SOP/Baseline documents
• Perform internal privacy audits and recommend corrective actions
• Work with Procurement and Third-Party Risk Management teams to assess vendors handling personal data
• Undertake any other related duty assigned by the HOD Information Security

• Bachelor's degree in a technology/engineering/information security related field, in Information Technology, Engineering, Cyber Security
• Knowledge of common data protection management frameworks and best practices
• Ability to assess privacy impact, classify data and establish protective measures
• Comprehensive understanding of Data Privacy strategy and its alignment with Information Security goals
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, documentation and leadership skills

• Required experience: 6 – 7 years
• Minimum 6 to 7 years of hands-on experience in data & information security in a large enterprise environment
• Experience accepted from: Large enterprise environment
