Duties and responsibilities

  • Oversee the output of consultants on design of hydraulic structures and canals and coordinate with them for solution of construction issues in the field
  • Interact with contractors, consultants and other stakeholders on project progress or areas requiring immediate attention of the client
  • Review progress reports of works and keep senior officers informed about critical and sensitive areas requiring engineering solutions
  • Assist the Director Technical in performance of his duties

Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelors (16 Years)|MS/MPhil (18 Years) - BSc Civil Engineering, Masters in Water Engineering & Management, Masters in Water Resources Engineering, Masters in Irrigation Engineering, Masters in Structural Engineering, Masters in Hydraulics Engineering, in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Hydraulics Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Structural Engineering, recognised by HEC, PEC
  • BSc Civil Engineering from an HEC recognized university or Masters degree with specialization in Water Engineering & Management, Water Resources Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Structural Engineering or Hydraulics Engineering
  • 12 years experience with BSc Engineering or 6 years with MSc Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer with PEC
  • Experience of construction and maintenance of hydraulic structures
  • Knowledge of latest engineering codes of practice
  • Computer literate with experience of computing techniques
  • Punjab domicile
  • Departmental officers eligible (appointment by transfer)

Experience required

  • Required experience: At least 6 years
  • Overall professional experience of 12 years in case of BSc Engineering or 6 years in case of MSc Engineering, including experience of construction and maintenance of hydraulic structures
  • Experience accepted from: Government Departments, Public Sector Organizations, Water Sector Projects

  • Male: 18 – 50 years

  • Transgender: 18 – 50 years
