About this vacancy
Deputy Program Officer (Environment), Faisalabad based, for the Punjab Inclusive Cities Program (PICP) of Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company.
Duties and responsibilities
- Carry out environmental analysis and screening of sub-projects
- Develop IEEs, ESIAs and EMMPs required under public sector environmental regulations
- Prepare Social Assessment Reports (SAR), Social Management Plans (SMPs) and Resettlement and Rehabilitation Action Plans (RAPs) in compliance with ESF
- Monitor environmental and social compliance of works in the field
- Coordinate with local governments and regulatory bodies on environmental clearances
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - MS/M.Phil (18 years), Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years) in Environmental Engineering or Sciences, in Environmental Engineering/Sciences, Environmental Engineering, recognised by HEC
- 16 years of education or higher degree in Environmental Engineering or Sciences from an HEC recognized university
- Demonstrated experience in developing IEEs, ESIAs and EMMPs
- Experience of preparing SAR, SMPs and RAPs in compliance with ESF
- Working knowledge of Local Government Systems, regulatory framework and donor funded projects will be an added advantage
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 4 years
- Minimum four (04) years of post-qualification professional and technical experience with increasing level of responsibility in environmental analysis
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Donor-Funded Projects
