Duties and responsibilities
- Act as in-charge of the technical unit of a project under implementation in PMO for successful completion within time schedule and approved budget
- Oversee progress of works according to design parameters, specifications and construction drawings
- Provide technical support to the Project Director on design and construction issues
- Provide technical guidance to consultants and subordinate engineering staff in planning, designing, project preparation, approvals and implementation
- Interact with consultants and stakeholders in monthly progress review meetings
- Ensure control and maintain financial discipline in disbursements and reimbursements under delegated authority
- Ensure compliance with rules and regulations issued by the Provincial Government
- Perform duties and exercise authority for implementation, operation and maintenance of works and administrative control of field divisions/units
Eligibility criteria
- MS/MPhil (18 Years) - BSc Civil Engineering, Masters in Water Engineering & Management, Masters in Water Resources Engineering, Masters in Irrigation Engineering, Masters in Hydraulics Engineering, in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Hydraulics Engineering, recognised by HEC, PEC
- BSc Civil Engineering and Masters degree with specialization in Water Engineering & Management, Water Resources Engineering, Irrigation Engineering or Hydraulics Engineering from an HEC recognized university
- At least 12 years experience after BSc Civil Engineering
- Experience in water sector projects
- Registered Professional Engineer with PEC
- Punjab domicile
- Government officers eligible (appointment by transfer)
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 12 years
- At least 12 years experience after BSc Civil Engineering in planning, design, construction supervision, monitoring and management of engineering projects on canals, rivers and barrages; should have worked on water sector projects
- Experience accepted from: Government Departments, Public Sector Organizations, Water Sector Projects
