Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager Audit at Lahore Waste Management Company, carrying out risk-based audit fieldwork across the company's departments and operations.
Duties and responsibilities
- Carry out fieldwork for risk-based audits of departments and operations including waste management operations, fleet and workshops, HR and payroll, procurement and contracts, finance, stores, inventory and assets
- Perform detailed testing of transactions, records and processes to assess compliance, economy, efficiency and effectiveness
- Assist in evaluating design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and document control gaps and irregularities
- Prepare complete, well-referenced audit working papers, checklists and evidence files
- Draft audit observations and supporting schedules and compile management responses
- Assist in compiling records, working papers and departmental replies for AG audit queries and paras, and support defence at DAC, SDAC and PAC
- Assist in fact-finding exercises, special audits and investigations
- Liaise with departments for timely provision of records, data and clarifications
- Support the Manager Audit in periodic reports and audit plan schedules
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - Partly or fully qualified CA, ACCA, ACMA, Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years) in Accounting, Finance or Audit, in Accounting, Chartered Accountancy, Finance, ACCA, ACMA, recognised by HEC
- Partly or fully qualified CA, ACCA, ACMA, or a relevant degree (16 years education) in Accounting, Finance, Audit or a related field from an HEC recognized university or institution
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 2 years
- Preferably 02-04 years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, financial audit, compliance or risk management; experience in a public sector company, government or autonomous organization or large corporate entity is an added advantage
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Private Sector Organizations
