Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager Planning in the Planning & Projects function of Lahore Waste Management Company.
Duties and responsibilities
- Identify and develop project concepts in line with LWMC's operational and strategic requirements
- Prepare comprehensive project proposals, concept notes, feasibility reports and project development documents
- Conduct preliminary technical and financial assessment of proposed projects
- Develop project objectives, scope, outputs, activities, implementation arrangements and timelines
- Assist in preparation and review of PC-I, PC-II and other government project planning documents
- Prepare project justifications, need assessments and options analysis
- Undertake preliminary technical, financial, economic, environmental and operational feasibility assessments
- Assist in preparation of project cost estimates and funding requirements
- Develop project implementation plans, work plans, milestones and monitoring frameworks
- Assist in preparation of proposals for development schemes, donor-funded projects and PPP initiatives
- Conduct research and analyse technical, operational and financial data for project development
- Prepare presentations, briefing notes, executive summaries and reports for senior management
- Coordinate with technical departments, consultants, government departments and other stakeholders
- Review project proposals submitted by consultants and provide planning-related observations
- Support project prioritization and maintain a database of proposed, ongoing and completed projects
- Assist management in identifying opportunities for resource mobilization, grants, donor funding and PPPs
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's - Bachelors Degree (16 years of education) in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, Registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering/Sciences, Environmental Engineering, recognised by HEC
- Bachelors Degree (16 years of education) in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering from an HEC recognized institute or university
- Must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC)
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 4 years
- 4-7 years relevant professional experience in project planning, project development, feasibility studies, consultancy, infrastructure development, government or development projects, donor-funded projects or related fields
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Private Sector Organizations
