Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare gender analysis and collate gender disaggregated baseline data relevant to the project
- Participate in and conduct stakeholder consultations and limited household surveys in targeted cities on challenges faced by men and women including vulnerable groups
- Update the gender mainstreaming strategy and gender action framework focusing on access to education and skills training, decent employment and participation in service improvement
- Facilitate the PIU in implementation of the capacity building program for implementing agencies
- Assist in planning and scheduling the project work plan and identify gender specific aspects and needs
- Conduct focus group discussions and consultations with relevant stakeholders in selected cities
- Assist the PIU and implementing agencies to increase gender and development awareness
- Facilitate and assist in gender analysis of proposed sub activities and prepare reports
- Assist in project monitoring and compliance with donor reporting requirements for the Gender Action Plan
- Assist in generating increased women involvement in community surveys, feedback and impact evaluations
- Assess capacity of executing and implementing agencies in gender-inclusive planning and develop a capacity building program
- Carry out assessment of institutional capacity of technical and vocational training organizations
- Develop and deepen innovative approaches to gender integration and inclusive development
- Assist in development and monitoring of project specific Gender Action Plans
- Perform any other task assigned by the Project Director, PIU or ADB
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelors (16 Years)|Masters - Masters in Social Sciences, in Social Sciences, recognised by HEC
- Preferably Masters degree in Social Sciences or another relevant field
- Preferably more than 10 years experience in the field of gender
- ADB or other international foreign-funded project implementation experience an advantage
- Experience in reporting to donors
- Age up to 55 years
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 10 years
- Preferably more than 10 years experience in the field of gender; ADB or other international foreign-funded project implementation experience and experience in reporting to donors would be an added advantage
- Experience accepted from: Foreign Funded Projects, International Organizations, Government Institutions, Asian Development Bank Projects

- Transgender: 35 – 55 years
