Head PMO / Project Director

Head PMO / Project Director as overall in-charge and team leader of the Project Management Office for remodeling and rehabilitation of link canals and implementation of mega projects. Pay Rs. 600,000 plus annual increment as per P&D policy for contract employees, or existing pay scale plus incentive allowance for government employees.

• Act as overall in-charge and team leader of the project for successful completion within time schedule and approved budget
• Provide technical guidance to employees in policy, planning, designing, project preparation, approvals and procurement of contracts
• Ensure control and maintain overall financial discipline in disbursements and reimbursements of funds
• Ensure compliance and implementation of rules and regulations issued by the Provincial Government
• Monitor and report project progress to various authorities and keep them informed of critical and sensitive areas
• Interact with contractors, consultants and other stakeholders during monthly progress reviews
• Perform duties and exercise authority for implementation, operation and maintenance of works and administrative control over field circles/units attached with PMO

• MS/MPhil (18 Years) - BSc Civil Engineering, Masters in Water Engineering & Management, Masters in Water Resources Engineering, Masters in Irrigation Engineering, Masters in Hydraulics Engineering, in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Hydraulics Engineering, recognised by HEC, PEC
• BSc Civil Engineering and Masters degree with specialization in Water Engineering & Management, Water Resources Engineering, Irrigation Engineering or Hydraulics Engineering from an HEC recognized university
• Knowledge of latest engineering codes of practice
• Registered Professional Engineer with PEC
• Punjab domicile
• Government officers eligible (appointment by transfer)

• Required experience: At least 17 years
• More than 17 years experience after BSc Civil Engineering in design, planning, construction, operation, monitoring and management of hydraulic engineering projects on rivers, large canals and barrages; should have worked on water sector projects
• Experience accepted from: Government Departments, Public Sector Organizations, Water Sector Projects
