Junior Scale Stenographer

Recruitment of Junior Scale Stenographer (BPS-14) in the District Judiciary, Abbottabad, under the District & Sessions Judge, Abbottabad, against 10 posts comprising 09 on open merit and 01 on the minority quota. Recruitment will be made through the ETEA screening test and on merit, in accordance with the recruitment rules issued by the Peshawar High Court. Pay and allowances after appointment will be as per the rules of the Finance Division. The competent authority reserves the right to increase, decrease or cancel the advertised posts at any time with reasonable cause. • Intermediate - Intermediate or equivalent, recognised by Recognized Board
• Intermediate or equivalent qualification from any recognized board
• Shorthand speed of 50 words per minute
• English typing speed of 35 words per minute
• Preference will be given to candidates having knowledge of MS Office
• In districts where Urdu is the court language, an Urdu typing speed of 30 words per minute is also required
• Age between 18 and 30 years calculated as on 01/01/2026, with upper age relaxation as per existing rules
• Government and semi-government employees must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department at the time of application and their final appointment is subject to approval of the competent authority
• Original documents must be produced at the time of interview
• Foreign degree holders must produce an HEC equivalence certificate
• Incomplete applications and applications containing forged documents or false information will be rejected at any stage

Candidates will be provisionally allowed to appear in the ETEA screening test on the basis of the information provided by them; complete scrutiny will be carried out by the concerned authority at any stage and a candidate found ineligible will be disqualified. Candidates qualifying the ETEA test will be further scrutinized against the prescribed eligibility criteria. Candidates will be informed through SMS by ETEA to download and print their Roll Number Slip from www.etea.edu.pk, on which the date, time and venue of the test will be mentioned. No call letter for the screening test will be issued by post or courier.
