About this vacancy
Pakistan Infrastructure Development Company Limited (PIDCL), Ministry of Housing & Works, Government of Pakistan invites applications for the post of Quantity Surveyor / Estimator (8 posts) at Islamabad and Karachi on open merit, purely on contract basis, extendable annually upon satisfactory performance. The recruitment is conducted by ETC-HEC on behalf of Pakistan Infrastructure Development Company Ltd..
Eligibility criteria
- DAE, Diploma in Quantity Surveying, recognised by Board of Technical Education
- Government employees must submit NOC with CV
- Candidate must be eligible in all respects for the post
Experience required
- Relevant experience in estimation and rate analysis; preferably 2 years experience in relevant field
Selection process and test pattern
- Written or screening test
- Interview
- Paper type: Mcqs
- Total marks: 100
- Verbal Reasoning - 20%
- Analytical Reasoning - 10%
- Civil Engineering Drawings (Architecture, Structure, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Surveying etc.) - 15%
- Construction Materials Testing - 15%
- Estimation incl. Contractor/Subcontractor Quotations, Project Costs and Variations - 15%
- Project Management (Specifications, Tender Documents, Variations, Claims, EOT, Procurement, Contract Negotiations) - 15%
- Construction Supervision incl. Construction Safety - 10%
100 MCQs test conducted by Education Testing Council (ETC), HEC in Islamabad and Karachi as per PIDCL proposed content weightages. Test fee Rs. 2,000 (non-refundable) via 1Link/1Bill. Original CNIC/Passport and ETC roll number slip mandatory on test day.
The test is conducted by ETC-HEC. Roll number slips and test dates are announced on their official website - check it rather than waiting to be contacted.
