Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare and review accurate cost estimates for construction projects including materials, labor, equipment and other expenses as per drawings, schedule, specifications and standards
  • Review and analyse estimates and bills of quantities submitted by the consultants
  • Review consultant invoices and contractor payments and recommend invoices and IPCs for payment
  • Identify and assess potential cost related risks and advise on mitigation strategies and cost to complete evaluations
  • Maintain comprehensive project records including cost analysis and budget reports
  • Work closely with architects and engineers to avoid cost overruns
  • Apply knowledge of quantity take-off, specifications, MRS, CSR and rate analysis
  • Handle construction cost estimation, rate analysis, assessment of variation orders and monthly statements of contractors
  • Any other task assigned by the Senior Specialist Infrastructure

Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelors (16 Years)|DAE Diploma - BSc Civil Engineering, DAE Civil Technology, in Civil Engineering, Associate Engineering, Civil Technology
  • Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Diploma of Associate Engineering in Civil Technology
  • 03 years relevant experience with Bachelors or 07 years with DAE
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD and quantity surveying software
  • Experience in public sector or donor-funded projects preferred

Experience required

  • Required experience: At least 3 years
  • Bachelors in Civil Engineering with 03 years relevant experience or DAE in Civil Technology with 07 years relevant experience; relevant experience in public sector and/or donor-funded programs is an added advantage; proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD and quantity surveying software
  • Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Donor-Funded Programs and Projects
