About this vacancy
Sector Specialist providing strategic inputs to the Member (Food Security and Agriculture) across Planning Commission functions, including long-term development plans and policies for the agriculture sector, in line with URAAN Pakistan and the 5Es Framework.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide strategic inputs to the Member (Food Security and Agriculture) across Planning Commission functions
- Formulate long-term development plans and strategic policies for the agriculture sector
- Promote equitable and sustainable development and improve efficiency of public investments
- Appraise, monitor and evaluate implementation of development projects
- Evaluate proposals, projects and policies in coordination with economic ministries and provinces
- Assist notified forums and committees in appraisal and approval of projects
- Prepare technical documents, presentations and policy responses
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - BS Agriculture, MSc (Hons) Agriculture, MSc Agricultural Economics, BSc Agricultural Engineering, MPhil Horticulture
- Degree in agriculture or related discipline as listed
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 10 years
- 10 years relevant experience
