• Postgraduate - MBBS, FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, Diplomat American Board, in Cardiology, recognised by Pakistan Medical Commission
• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission
• FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or equivalent qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission
• Alternatively the above post-graduate qualification in General Surgery or Medicine (whichever is relevant) with three years' post-graduation practical experience in the respective specialty
• Punjab domicile

• No prior experience is required for this post.
• No experience is required with the primary post-graduate qualification; the alternative eligibility route requires three years' post-graduation practical experience in the respective specialty from a recognized institute. Conditions of experience: only practical experience in a recognized institution issued by the appointing authority or PMDC/PMC after the prescribed qualification is considered, supported by appointment letters, notifications or office orders. Government sector contract, current charge, acting charge and ad-hoc experience is accepted if issued by the appointing/competent authority or PMDC/PMC. OPS/designated (up to 17.06.2021 only), BOM, TTS and university cadre experience is considered only if recognized and issued by PMDC/PMC. Foreign, autonomous body and private institution experience is accepted only if recognized and issued by PMDC/PMC.
