• Postgraduate - MBBS, FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, Diplomate of American Board, in Ophthalmology, recognised by Pakistan Medical Commission
• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission
• FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomate of American Board in the respective specialty
• Valid PMC registration up to the closing date

• No prior experience is required for this post.
• Three years post-graduation practical experience in the respective specialty from a recognized institute is required only where the candidate applies under the alternate qualification route.
• Experience accepted from: Government Sector, Autonomous Body, Foreign Institution, Private Institution recognized by PMDC or PMC

• Male: 25 – 45 years (+5 years relaxation)
• Female: 25 – 45 years (+8 years relaxation)
• Transgender: 25 – 45 years (+5 years relaxation)
