Senior Scale Stenographer

Recruitment in the Office of the District & Sessions Judge, Lakki Marwat, through the ETEA screening test and on merit. This post is Senior Scale Stenographer (BPS-16), 01 position on open merit. The competent authority reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of advertised posts with reasonable cause. All other legal formalities and requirements will be settled in accordance with the applicable law. The recruitment is conducted by Educational Testing & Evaluation Agency (ETEA) on behalf of Office of the District & Sessions Judge, Lakki Marwat.

• Bachelor's Degree, recognised by Recognized University
• Shorthand speed of 100 words per minute
• English typing speed of 40 words per minute
• Preference will be given to candidates having knowledge of Microsoft Office
• In districts where the language of the court is Urdu, an Urdu typing speed of 30 words per minute is also prescribed
• Original documents, two recent photographs, CNIC, educational certificates, domicile certificate and character certificate along with attested copies must be produced at the time of interview
• A character certificate issued by two respectable citizens who are not related to the candidate and who are well acquainted with the candidate’s character, habits and conduct must also be provided
• Candidates working in Government or Semi-Government bodies must apply through their department and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned authority before appointment
• In case of a foreign degree, an equivalence certificate from HEC must be provided
• No TA/DA will be admissible for test or interview

• No prior experience is required for this post.

• All candidates: 18 – 30 years
• Age is counted on the closing date, 15 Oct 2026.

An upper limit of 30 years means you must not have reached that age on the date age is counted. A relaxation applies only to the candidates the advertisement names, with the proof it asks for.

Candidates will be provisionally allowed to appear in the ETEA screening test on the basis of the information provided by them. However, detailed scrutiny will be carried out by the concerned appointing authority and if a candidate is found ineligible at any stage, he or she will be declared disqualified by the appointing authority. Candidates qualifying the ETEA test will be further scrutinized against the prescribed eligibility criteria. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Test date, time and venue will be mentioned on the Roll Number Slip and no separate call letter will be issued to candidates for the screening test by post or courier.
