BS-16 Technical Officer (Software) post on contract basis for a period of three (03) years, extendable, in the Special Branch of the Punjab Police Department, posted at Special Branch Headquarters, Lahore. Advertisement No. 07/2026, Sr. No. 78, Case No. 06-RH/2026. The recruitment is conducted by Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) on behalf of Punjab Police.
Eligibility criteria
- M.Sc in Computer Science or Master in Information Technology or BCS (Hons) four years (second division) from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission
- All Punjab basis domicile
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 1 year
- At least one year's experience in software development. Only practical experience acquired after the prescribed qualification is considered. Experience in private entities is accepted if the entity is registered with SECP, the Registrar of Firms or any other regulatory authority.
- Experience accepted from: Government, Semi Government, Autonomous Bodies, Private entities registered with SECP or Registrar of Firms
Age limit
- Male: 25 – 35 years (+5 years relaxation)
- Female: 25 – 35 years (+8 years relaxation)
- Transgender: 25 – 35 years (+5 years relaxation)
- Age is counted on the closing date, 5 Aug 2026.
