The National Highway Authority (NHA) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Communications of the Government of Pakistan. Established in 1991 under the National Highway Authority Act, the NHA functions as the primary custodian of the country’s major road infrastructure. It is responsible for planning, developing, operating, and maintaining Pakistan's federalized network of national highways, motorways, expressways, and strategic routes.
