NCCIA Jobs 2026: Test Date, Roll No Slip, Physical Test, Syllabus & Upcoming Posts

Applications for the NCCIA Jobs 2026 drive have closed (the original last date of 7 September 2026 was extended, reportedly to 24 September), and the next step is the NPF-TAS physical and written test. If you applied for Sub Inspector, ASI, Constable, Constable Driver or any other post, this guide covers what comes next: the roll number slip, physical test standards, written test syllabus, salary, and the next round of posts NCCIA has proposed.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) is Pakistan's federal agency for investigating cybercrime. It was formally set up on 3 May 2024 under Section 51 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, and it took over from the FIA Cyber Crime Wing. The Prevention of Electronic Crimes (Amendment) Act 2025 later gave NCCIA its own legal basis in the Act itself.

Because NCCIA is a new agency still building its staff, it will keep recruiting for several years. That makes it one of the best federal departments to follow if you are interested in IT, law or police work.

NCCIA advertised 351 posts in August 2026 through the National Police Foundation Testing & Assessment Service (NPF-TAS). Most of them (238) are Constable and Constable Driver posts that need only Matric.

Posts, BPS and qualifications

Some news reports give the total as 344. Always check the official advertisement on npftas.pk for final numbers.

Your NCCIA roll number slip will be issued only on the NPF-TAS portal, usually a few days before your physical or written test. It shows your test date, reporting time, venue and roll number.

1. Go to the official portal: npftas.pk.
2. Log in with the account (CNIC and password) you used to apply.
3. Open your application for the NCCIA post you applied for.
4. Click the roll number slip or admit card option when it becomes available.
5. Check your name, CNIC, post, test date and venue.
6. Download it and print two copies.

Take to the test centre:

• Printed roll number slip
• Original CNIC (or B-Form/CNIC token where allowed)
• Paid fee voucher or PSID receipt
• Blue/black pen; for the physical test, sports shoes and comfortable clothes

If you applied for two posts, you will get a separate slip for each. If your slip has an error or does not appear, contact NPF-TAS through the helpline listed on their website before your test date.

Warning: NPF-TAS and NCCIA never ask for money to issue a slip or "confirm a seat." Ignore WhatsApp messages or calls offering help for a fee.

Sub Inspector, ASI, Constable and Constable Driver candidates must pass a physical measurement and a 1.6 km run before they can sit the written test. These standards have no relaxation, so a few centimetres or seconds can end your application.

Standards above are listed for SI and Constable. Confirm ASI and Constable Driver standards in the official advertisement.

How to pass the 1.6 km run

• Know your pace: 7 minutes for 1.6 km means about 4 min 22 sec per km. Time yourself on a measured track at least twice a week.
• Build up over 3 to 4 weeks: start with an easy 2 km jog, then add 4 to 6 short fast runs of 200 to 400 metres.
• Don't start too fast: most candidates fail because they sprint the first lap and slow down badly.
• On test day: eat light 2 to 3 hours before, wear proper running shoes, and warm up for 10 minutes.

The physical test is pass or fail. Only candidates who pass are called for the computer-based or written test.

NPF-TAS has not published an official NCCIA syllabus. Its tests for federal police and investigation posts are usually multiple-choice (MCQ) papers, so prepare the subjects below and add cybercrime basics, because NCCIA is a cyber agency.

Preparation tip: solve at least 50 MCQs a day for 3 weeks, and spend 20 minutes on current affairs from the last 6 months.

NCCIA pays according to the federal Basic Pay Scale (BPS). Your take-home salary is higher than the basic pay because allowances (house rent, conveyance, medical and others) are added on top.

Figures are estimates of the revised pay scale effective 1 July 2026, as reported by CSS Prep, and depend on the official notification. They show basic pay only, not the total salary with allowances.

Promotion path

NCCIA follows a police-style rank structure, so a constable can rise through the ranks with service and exams:

Constable (BPS-5) → Head Constable (BPS-7) → ASI (BPS-9) → Sub Inspector (BPS-14) → Inspector (BPS-16) → Assistant Director (BPS-17)

Because NCCIA is new and still filling its posts, early recruits may get faster promotions than in older departments.

NCCIA asked the government for 838 new posts across 24 designations, plus 16 senior posts in later letters. The August 2026 advertisement covered only some of them, so about 500 posts, including Inspector and officer-level jobs, have not been advertised yet.

These are proposed numbers that still need Finance Division approval. No advertisement has been published for them. Final numbers and dates may change.

How to get ready now:

• Inspector and Assistant Director: a degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity or law will help. Officer posts above BPS-16 are often filled through FPSC.
• Legal posts: keep your law degree and bar council registration up to date.
• Head Constable and ASI: start physical training now, because the running and height standards do not change.
