About this vacancy
AAC Specialist at the Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism, Lahore, setting up augmentative and alternative communication for non-verbal and minimally verbal children.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assess communication needs and recommend appropriate AAC systems for each child
- Set up and programme AAC devices, boards and apps for individual children
- Train children, teachers, therapists and parents in use of AAC systems
- Monitor communication progress and adjust AAC supports accordingly
- Maintain AAC equipment, vocabulary sets and documentation
- Work with speech therapists and teachers as part of the multi-disciplinary team
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - BS in Speech and Language Therapy or Pathology (registered), in Speech Language Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, recognised by HEC
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 5 years
- 05 years' experience with autistic children
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Private Sector Organizations
Age limit
- All candidates: 25 – 35 years
