AI Infrastructure Architect

AI Infrastructure Architect at the Artificial Intelligence Delivery Unit, designing reference architectures for AI applications reused across the six pillars.

• Design reference architectures for AI applications (RAG pipelines, agentic systems, classical ML, multilingual NLP) reused across pillar use-cases
• Review and approve solution designs from AI/ML Engineers, Data Scientists and outsourced development partners before build begins
• Define integration standards for connecting AI systems with departmental applications, the data platform and reusable government AI capabilities
• Work with the Cloud/AI Infrastructure Architect and CISO to ensure architectures meet performance, cost, security and compliance requirements
• Maintain the Unit's technical design documentation, architecture decision records and reusable component library

• Master's degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Artificial Intelligence, in Computer Engineering/Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, recognised by HEC
• Master's degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related field from an HEC-recognized university
• Preference would be given to foreign qualified candidates with proven track record
• AI/ML and LLM system design patterns (RAG, agents, fine-tuning, evaluation)
• Software architecture and API design
• Cloud-native architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers and microservices
• Security- and privacy-by-design principles
• Technical documentation and design review facilitation

• Required experience: At least 8 years
• At least 8 years of software/AI engineering experience, including 3+ years in a solution or systems architecture role for production AI or large-scale software systems
• Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Private Sector Organizations

• All candidates: 30 – 45 years
