Assistant Director Computer Programming (PPS-7)

Assistant Director Computer Programming (PPS-7) for the GIS Lab of the Punjab Forest Department, supporting the GIS-based protection regime and digital communication cell.

• Develop and maintain GIS and departmental applications
• Write, test and document program code for the GIS-based protection regime
• Support integration of spatial data into departmental systems
• Provide technical support to the GIS Lab team

• Bachelor's or Master's - Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years) in Geo-Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology or Geographical Information System, in Computer Engineering/Sciences, Geographical Information System (GIS), Information Technology, recognised by HEC
• 16 years of education with a degree in Geo-Informatics, Computer Sciences, Information Technology or Geographical Information System or equivalent from a recognized university

• Required experience: At least 1 year
• Minimum one (01) year post-qualification experience in computer programming or development, or expertise in GIS programming and development from a recognized private or public organization

• All candidates: 23 – 30 years
• Age is counted on the closing date, 30 Sept 2026.
