Forest Guard

The Forest Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa invites applications from interested candidates for the following vacant posts within the territorial limits of the Kunhar Watershed Division, Mansehra, under the recruitment policy of the Provincial Government. This post is Forest Guard (BPS-08), 03 positions on the merit general quota. Eligible candidates are those domiciled in the areas of District Mansehra and District Abbottabad that fall within the territorial limits of the Kunhar Watershed Division. The recruitment is conducted by Educational Testing & Evaluation Agency (ETEA) on behalf of Forest Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

• FSc or Intermediate from any authentic recognized board
• Minimum height 5 feet 6 inches
• Chest minimum 32-34 inches
• Must complete a 3 kilometre run within 12 minutes
• Candidate must be physically healthy
• Domicile of the areas of District Mansehra or District Abbottabad falling within the territorial limits of the Kunhar Watershed Division
• Selected candidates against the Forest Guard posts must undergo mandatory training at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Forest School, Thandiani, Abbottabad
• A selected Forest Guard who leaves service before completion of five years must refund all training expenses
• Overall eligibility will be determined as on the closing date for receipt of applications
• Incomplete applications and applications received after the closing date will not be considered
• Candidates working in Government and Semi-Government organizations must apply through their department
• The competent authority reserves the right to reject any application without assigning a reason and to increase or decrease or cancel the number of advertised posts
• No TA/DA will be given to candidates appearing for the test or interview
• Original educational documents must be produced at the time of interview
• Only authentic degrees and certificates are acceptable; after selection, verification will be arranged from the relevant board or institution at the candidate’s own expense
• If a degree or certificate is proved forged, the candidate will be declared ineligible for the job and legal action will be taken
• In case of a foreign degree, an equivalence certificate issued by the Higher Education Commission must be produced
• A Police Clearance Certificate approved by the Police Department must be produced

• No prior experience is required for this post.

• All candidates: 18 – 25 years
• Age is counted on the closing date, 5 Oct 2026.
• Age relaxation is allowed as per government rules; the advertisement does not give the figures.

An upper limit of 25 years means you must not have reached that age on the date age is counted. A relaxation applies only to the candidates the advertisement names, with the proof it asks for.

All candidates will be provisionally allowed to appear in the ETEA screening test. If a candidate is found ineligible at any stage during scrutiny by the competent authority, he or she will be declared ineligible for recruitment. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and intimation of the interview will be given through SMS, so candidates must keep their mobile SIM active and unchanged until the recruitment process is complete. Overall eligibility of candidates will be determined as on the closing date for receipt of applications. Candidates will be informed through SMS by ETEA to download and print their Roll Number Slip from www.etea.edu.pk, on which the date, time and venue of the test will be mentioned. No call letter for the screening test will be issued by post or courier.
