Infrastructure Automation Officer (Datacenter) at the Punjab Information Technology Board, supporting datacenter and cloud platform operations and automating routine administration.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support daily operations of datacenter and cloud platforms, ensuring smooth and secure availability of services
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability and capacity, applying optimization techniques where needed
- Assist in automating repetitive administrative tasks such as provisioning, configuration or log reporting to save time and reduce errors
- Contribute to process improvement through lightweight scripts, templates or workflow adjustments
- Help implement backup, disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Maintain accurate documentation for infrastructure components, operational checklists and technical standards
- Collaborate with relevant teams for deployment of new solutions, upgrades or infrastructure scaling
- Ensure all operations follow PITB security standards and industry best practices
- Prepare periodic reports on performance metrics, resource utilization and incidents
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years), in Advanced Computing, Computer Networks, Electrical Engineering/Sciences, Telecommunication Engineering/Sciences, Networks, Computer Engineering/Sciences, Network Engineering, recognised by HEC
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 1 year
- Minimum 1 year(s) of relevant experience
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Private Sector Organizations
