About this vacancy
Contractual appointment for a term of three (3) years, extendable on organizational need and performance. The Commission may consider regularization of these positions after completion of three years, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed criteria.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for Network, Communications and IT Support teams
- Lead IT Network service operations and enterprise-wide technical support
- Manage vendors, technology partners, service providers and internal stakeholders
- Design and implement cost-effective, scalable, resilient network solutions
- Lead design, implementation and security of network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, NGFW, WAF and endpoint security
- Establish and maintain network and security policies, standards and technical controls
- Act as liaison for IT Risk Management, Governance and Compliance
- Lead Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery for network and communications services
- Provide technical leadership for Network projects and modernization roadmaps
- Oversee capacity, performance, availability and proactive monitoring of critical Network services
- Coordinate with the Security Operations Center on security monitoring, threat detection and incident response
- Provide technical input to IT procurement and budgeting
- Assess emerging technologies and cybersecurity trends and recommend innovations
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - Master's Degree, Bachelor's Degree (Hons) 16 Years, in Computer Science, Information Technology, recognised by HEC
- Enterprise LAN/WAN and network architecture design, implementation and capacity planning
- Enterprise Wi-Fi architecture, deployment, optimization and troubleshooting
- Network security and application enablement through NGFW, WAF and VPN
- Network monitoring, bandwidth and capacity management
- Branch connectivity and secure communications including IPsec VPN tunnels
- Enterprise VoIP and collaboration services management
- SLA and vendor performance management
- Budgeting, business cases and cost-benefit analyses
- IT hardware asset lifecycle management
- Enterprise endpoint security and antivirus services
- Leadership and people development
- Stakeholder and relationship management
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Communication and presentation
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 10 years
- At least 10 years of post-qualification experience related to Network Communication and IT Operations. Professional-level certifications in Network and Cybersecurity (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet NSE) will be preferred.
