About this vacancy
Microbiologist (BS-16) on contract basis for a period of 03 years, posted anywhere in the Punjab under the Punjab Food Authority of the Food Safety and Consumer Protection Department, advertised by the Punjab Public Service Commission under Advertisement No. 08/2026, Case No. 38-RJ/2026. The recruitment is conducted by Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) on behalf of Food Safety and Consumer Protection Department, Punjab.
Eligibility criteria
- MS or MSc (Hons) or MPhil in Microbiology or Food Microbiology or Industrial Microbiology or Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from an HEC recognized university
- Or Masters or BSc (Hons) or BS in the same fields with 02 years relevant experience
Experience required
- Two years relevant experience after acquiring the qualification is required only under the alternate qualification route of Masters or BSc (Hons) or BS. Experience of microbiological testing, equipment handling, chemical handling, good laboratory practices and hands on experience of pathogens testing and real time PCR testing. Only practical experience in the relevant field after the prescribed qualification is considered.
Age limit
- Male: 23 – 30 years (+5 years relaxation)
- Female: 23 – 30 years (+8 years relaxation)
- Transgender: 23 – 30 years (+5 years relaxation)
- Age is counted on the closing date, 3 Sept 2026.
