Senior Research Analyst Economics at The Urban Unit, Planning and Development Board, working on economic growth, industrial development and regional disparity analysis.
Duties and responsibilities
- Propose strategies to promote sustainable economic growth, investment and private sector development through special initiatives
- Design and implement programs that promote balanced regional economic development and expand economic opportunities in underserved areas
- Develop and propose suggestions for improving the productivity and competitiveness of key economic and industrial sectors
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement cost-effective and sustainable solutions
- Propose and design projects aimed at establishing or upgrading industrial estates, economic zones and related facilities in identified areas
- Develop indices to measure economic and industrial development across various regions
- Analyze economic and industrial data to identify trends, disparities and areas for improvement
- Propose evidence-based policy recommendations to improve economic outcomes, promote industrial growth and reduce regional disparities
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's or MPhil - Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years) or MS/M-Phil (18 years) in Economics or Political Science, in Economics, Political Science, recognised by HEC
- Minimum 16 years of education in Economics and Political Science
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 5 years
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with 2.5 years specifically in economic research, planning and economic/industrial development or trade and commerce
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Private Sector Organizations
Age limit
- All candidates: 18 – 45 years
