Consultant – Urban Specialist engaged on contract in SPPS-III with the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives.
Duties and responsibilities
- Review global and local urban planning interventions to formulate Pakistan's National Urban Agenda
- Prepare the national urban policy and planning guidelines analyzing existing policies across government levels
- Arrange workshops on urban issues with stakeholders
- Prepare policy briefs for leadership
- Review development projects
- Analyze spatial planning, land use, transportation, housing and public services to recommend sustainable strategies
- Prepare comprehensive reports on urban activities
- Interpret urban data for insights
- Carry out any other task assigned by senior officials
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's - BS Public Administration, BS Urban and Regional Planning, BS City & Regional Planning, Bachelor of Architecture and other related degrees as listed in the advertisement, in Urban Planning, Architecture, recognised by HEC
- Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture or a related discipline as listed in the advertisement
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 7 years
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in urban planning and urban policy
