About this vacancy
Contractual appointment for 3 years at SECP Islamabad, extendable on organizational need and performance; may be considered for regularization after three years. Women, minorities, persons with disabilities and candidates from Balochistan, former FATA, GB and AJK are encouraged to apply.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead scrutiny and processing of appeals and review applications
- Review and validate case summaries, legal briefs and working papers
- Provide legal input to the Registrar and Appellate Bench
- Prepare litigation comments and conduct legal research for drafting of orders
- Enhance effectiveness and efficiency of registry operations
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - LL.B., LL.M., Bar-at-Law (preferred), recognised by HEC
- LL.B. or LL.M. from HEC-recognized university
- 15 years post-qualification experience incl. 2 years with a regulator
- In-depth understanding of SECP-administered laws
- Practical legal drafting skills and knowledge of appellate procedures
- Case management ability
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 15 years
- At least 15 years of relevant post-qualification experience including minimum 2 years with a regulator; preference for experience as adjudicating officer in regulatory bodies
- Experience accepted from: Regulatory Bodies
Age limit
- All candidates: 18 – 50 years
