About this vacancy
General Manager at the Professional Development Center (PDC), Virtual University of Pakistan. House Rent 45%, Utility Allowance 10% and Conveyance Allowance 15% of running basic salary. Non-teaching post. Professional certification is optional but will be considered.
Eligibility criteria
- Master's or PhD - PhD, MS, MPhil, MBA, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, recognised by HEC
- PhD in CS/IT/Engineering/Management Sciences from an HEC recognized University with at least 10 years experience (6 years post PhD) and 3 years senior management experience
- OR MS/MPhil/MBA (18 years) in CS/IT/EE/Management Sciences with at least 14 years experience and 6 years senior management experience
- Knowledge of the latest and emerging technologies and their need for the industry and country
- Experience of developing proposals for funding and generation of revenues
- Excellent command over spoken and written English
- IT proficiency
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 6 years
- PhD with at least 10 years experience (at least 6 years post PhD) in teaching or training in a public or private sector university or national/international institution/industry with at least 3 years management experience at senior positions; OR MS/MPhil/MBA (18 years) with at least 14 years experience in teaching or training with at least 6 years management experience at senior level (equivalent of BPS 19 or higher)
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector University, Private Sector University, National Institution, International Institution, Industry
