Applying through the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission recruits on behalf of the provincial government and is based in Peshawar. It advertises for KP departments rather than employing anyone itself, so an advertisement names the department the post belongs to - Elementary and Secondary Education, Health, Home, Local Government and the others. It also conducts the province's combined competitive examination for the Provincial Management Service and allied services.

Applications are submitted online through the Commission's website with the fee paid by challan. Note that the Commission is not the only testing route in the province: for posts that departments recruit directly, screening is frequently conducted by the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency instead, which runs its own application and roll-number process. Read the advertisement to see which body is handling the post you want, because the two are separate.

Most Commission posts are decided by a written test followed by an interview. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa domicile is required for almost every provincial post, and district quotas apply widely, with the merged districts of the former tribal areas carrying their own allocation in many advertisements. Age limits are counted on the closing date with relaxation only where provincial rules allow. Test schedules, roll number slips and results are published on the Commission's website.
