The Sindh Public Service Commission recruits on behalf of the Government of Sindh and is based in Hyderabad. It advertises for provincial departments rather than employing anyone itself, so an SPSC advertisement names the department the post belongs to - Education and Literacy, Health, Home, Revenue, Local Government and the rest. It also conducts the province's combined competitive examination for the Provincial Management Service and allied services.

Age limits are counted on the closing date and relaxation applies only where the Sindh government's rules provide for it - it is stated on the advertisement, never assumed.
