Carbon Markets and Climate Finance Mobilization Expert at the Punjab Cattle Market Management & Development Company, leading carbon market and climate finance initiatives including solarization and GHG projects.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead the company's carbon market and climate finance mobilization agenda
- Identify, develop and structure carbon credit, GHG reduction and climate finance opportunities
- Prepare feasibility studies, technical designs and financial models for renewable energy and solarization projects
- Develop procurement documents and support project implementation and supervision
- Advise management on carbon market mechanisms, climate finance instruments and eligibility requirements
- Engage with donors, investors, regulators and verification bodies on climate and carbon initiatives
- Oversee monitoring, reporting and verification arrangements for registered projects
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years), preferably a Master's degree in Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Climate Change, Sustainability, Environmental Management, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, in Chemical Engineering/Sciences, Electrical Engineering/Sciences, Energy Engineering/Sciences, Environmental Engineering/Sciences, Mechanical Engineering/Sciences, Renewable Energy, Climate Finance, Sustainable Development, Climate Science, recognised by HEC
- Minimum 16 years of education, preferably a Master's degree in Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Climate Change, Sustainability, Environmental Management, Chemical, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or other closely relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized institution
- Experience in feasibility studies, technical designs, financial models, procurement documents and project implementation
- Non-refundable application processing fee of PKR 5,000 as mentioned in advertisement IPL #11188
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 10 years
- Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience including 3 years in a lead, advisory, technical management or project supervision role; experience in renewable energy/solarization and carbon/GHG/climate related assignments preferred
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Private Sector Organizations
