Deputy Project Coordinator for the NPECA project under the Ministry of National Food Security and Research, supporting the Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU).
Duties and responsibilities
- Act as Deputy Project Coordinator for the NPECA project under the Ministry's overall supervision
- Assist the Ministry in handling administrative and financial matters of the FPMU and carrying out FSC decisions
- Assist the Ministry in transferring matching federal grants to participating agencies on time
- Work closely with provincial PMUs to implement the project effectively
- Compile project monitoring reports, progress reports and working papers for the FSC and FCC
- Perform other duties assigned by the Ministry
Eligibility criteria
- Master's - MSc Agricultural Engineering, MSc Water Resources, MA Economics, MBA Finance, in Agriculture, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, recognised by HEC
- Knowledge of rules for preparing, financing, procuring and implementing public-sector development projects
- Experience preparing public-sector project proposals (PC-I and PC-II) for water and agriculture
- Strong communication and presentation skills and basic IT skills
- Leadership ability and experience managing multidisciplinary teams
- Analytical skills for designing project management and monitoring and evaluation
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 12 years
- 12 years of experience in the public or private sector in water and agriculture, including 5 years managing large-scale public-sector development projects in those areas
Age limit
