About this vacancy
Data Engineer in the Monitoring & Evaluation function of the Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority, building and maintaining the data pipelines and warehouse behind programme reporting. Duties and responsibilities
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using SQL and Python with frameworks such as Apache Airflow, SSIS or Azure Data Factory
- Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery or Azure Synapse)
- Work with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Design database architecture and apply data modeling techniques
- Work with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
- Apply DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices to data workflows
- Integrate APIs and real-time data streaming (Kafka, Event Hubs)
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - Master's degree / Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Sciences or Information Technology, in Computer Engineering/Sciences, Information Technology, Data Science, Software Engineering, recognised by HEC
- Master's degree or 16 years qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Sciences or Information Technology from an HEC recognized national or foreign university
- At least five (05) years of verifiable relevant post-qualification experience in public or private sectors with SQL, Python and ETL frameworks (Apache Airflow, SSIS or Azure Data Factory)
- Experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery or Azure Synapse)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Strong understanding of database architecture and data modeling techniques
- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
- Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices for data workflows
- Familiarity with API integration and real-time data streaming (Kafka, Event Hubs)
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with Government agencies, NGOs, international and domestic donor organizations, and possess sound knowledge of the education sector
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 5 years
- At least five (05) years of verifiable relevant post-qualification experience in public or private sectors
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Private Sector Organizations, Government Agencies, NGOs, Donor Organizations
